Two of our greatest strengths right now are senior offensive line play and good decisions and execution by JPW. We lose both of those next year. The ongoing development of those linemen waiting in the wings and train of QB's we have in and on the way will determine if we lose ground next year. The defense will do its part.

What is the word on Star anyway? I seem to remember coming in that there was some question marks on his size and arm strength. Have we gotten a better feel for where he is now? Any chance he competes next year for a starting role?

Size won't be an issue. He will give us more athleticism at QB than we've had since Watts, and his arm is good enough to be a solid QB. McElwain worked with him on his release early on, and he has improved on that. Sill needs to just get comfortable with the speed of the game, footwork, etc. This spring, his reps will go up, and he'll more than likely improve quite a bit. If I had to guess, I think we will see a package for him next season, but McElroy will likely be the starter.
I think he probably will as long as he gets a good feel for the offense and keeps mistakes to a minimum. The offense is going to need to be a little diverse next season though. New QB, and 3 new starters on the OL are really going to shake things up. I like how our running game is shaping up for the future, especially if we can get Massie and Fluker on the OL to help pave the way. I think having McElroy and Jackson both run the offense in a dual role though will give teams more to prepare for, and give UA the best opportunity to move the chains and put points on the board. That is just an early guess though, I reserve the right to backtrack and/or completely change that opinion during or after spring practice.
The only thing that really is a concern for the team for next year is the O-line. we're losing quite a few of them (3 or 4?) plus Walker and McCall at TE. However, if any coaching staff can bring that around, it's ours.
