Yea it affected it, me and my dad were thinking about going until we heard about the rain. Not a pleasant ride from south bama to Tuscaloosa in the rain. Attendanced looked to be several thousand at least.
yeah, I know that is the reason, just seems weird that we are putting it up in 3 years. I guess putting up a statue of a coach that has been somewhere for 3 years is the strange part...not the fact that he won a NC (in 3 years).
Yep, wasn't it amazing that the sprinkles held off until right after Coach Saban finished speaking?
Before I left ATL I checked the weather forecast one last time. Literally it showed showers from 6 a.m. through the rest of the day. I had promised my daughter that we'd go, so I held true to my word. I knew we'd come home soppin' wet though.
We were so blessed. Even though it was cold and windy we really never got wet at all. By the time we made it back to our car it started raining very lightly. I hate that so many fans had to miss this event because of the forecast, but I'm glad I went.
The neatest part to me was Rolando and Javy getting a chance to say goodbye and thanks. Usually the last game of the year is the final chance to see some of our favorite players. At least this year we were given one more opportunity to say thanks, cheer and see/hear some of our senior warriors. I hope it was all worth it to them. It was to me. :a:
