After one season at Alabama, former top prospect Alvin Kamara is headed to one of the Crimson Tide's top rivals.
The running back confirmed the chatter on Twitter by announcing he'll play at Tennessee.
Kamara redshirted his freshman year in Tuscaloosa with a loaded depth chart at running back. He was one of three running backs in the 2013 class, but fell behind Derrick Henry and Altee Tenpenny in competition for playing time.
Kamara is headed to junior college in Kansas after leaving Alabama in January. He'll play at Hutchinson Community College this fall and would be eligible to suit up for the Vols in 2015.
Coming out of Norcross, Ga., Kamara was rated the nation's No. 2 all-purpose back in 2013 class and No. 42 overall recruit. He injured his knee before the season, however, and was suspended for the Sugar Bowl. Kamara also missed a week of practices before the LSU game for what Nick Saban called "behavioral issues."
Clemson was one of the schools Kamara reportedly visited before committing to Tennessee.
