I was scrolling through X and noticed a post about the Alabama section of "Fansided" having an article up about the last time a Bama player was drafted in the first round of different positions in the league. As example, Jamo as the last WR or Gibbs as the last RB. We've talked about Bama having players drafted at each position. How many schools can point to having a QB, RB, and a WR go in the first round in a five year span? Or, how many schools can say we've seen a player drafted at every position in the league?

None of these things are in the NFL record books. All of those things are noteworthy; in the larger scale of the football world and in our world of Bama football.

I saw the numbers. The old record was 705 by Florida State alumni. Bama's point production last year beat that by over 150 points as I recall. No, it's not in the NFL record books.

But that's a record that will be damn hard to break by any team.

Noteworthy.

It no more needs to be diminished with a caveat than Thomas's sack numbers because they came before the NFL started "printing them in books."
