🏈 Floyd created a mess, but he also had company

A good read, but I don't agree entirely with the writers conclusions. Garrett may well have wanted Floyd gone, but that is certainly not the only reason that USC backed off the recruiting of Renardo Sidney. In well publicized articles Sidney's father made it known that he expected to be compensated by whatever school Renardo signed with. That was the point where USC pulled their offer. UCLA also had an offer on the table for Sidney, and they withdrew theirs as well. Garrett, and Floyd as well, had to know that with the NCAA already sniffing around because of the O J Mayo and Reggie Bush cases, they had to get themselves far away from Renardo Sidney.

Debated about posting this under basketball or football. Guess I should have gone basketball, but the sub-title was "Floyd gets Bush-whacked" so I went with football.
