šŸˆ Florida and Mullen - an embarrassment to the SEC

The players are watching how Cousin Eddie handles himself and what he is saying. I think he will lose a little fan and player support with these antics. These are the kind of things that people store away for a rainy day and will bring back up if UF ever struggles enough to consider moving past Mullen.

So in the pregame last night, the announcers made a point to say that Florida had a lot to opt out/quit and that they only had around 60+ scholarship players with them. Now in his post game presser, Cousin Eddie says that they were ā€œunder the number to playā€. Hmmmmm!!! That number set by the SEC was 53 and ā€œif it fell under that, then it was up to the school!ā€ Cousin Eddie math 60+=53? WTH? Excuses!!!!

He repeatedly said that the game gave players a chance to play that haven't played. Guys from the scout team that were playing for the first time. In other words, Oklahoma won because we didn't play our starters.

Only going to speak about my opinion of Florida players opting out. You join a team and work hard with them for several years. Then, when you are given a chance to play a last game with them, you quit. I have "ZERO" respect for a player that does not have love and respect for his teammates. The reason we love Jalen Hurts so much is that he remained with Bama, although it probably would have been better for him to move on with Tua in control. That is what I expect from a good teammate. Those that opted out for the Cotton Bowl will get no respect from me.

I'm a Jalen fan so don't take this the wrong way. He did what he did to benefit him. If he had left when Tua was named #1, he would have had to sit out the year due to NCAA rules. By staying, he graduated and was allowed to transfer and play immediately. It helped that he boosted his resume when he came in against UGA and led the team to a come from behind victory.

Those that are sitting out are doing so to benefit them. How many players have been injured in their last game? Dickerson's value in the NFL draft has been downgraded due to his injury. The NFL is big bucks, especially for a 21 year old. I don't blame these players especially when the teams are playing for nothing of value.

Agree.

In my opinion, the NFL has done more to create this than anything else.

I have no issue with players opting out of their final game. They have to live with decision.

You have no issue with players. Quitting. Ontheir team. Fans. Schools. Coaches.
That surprises me about you.
They could dress for games. Help younger players.
but
No. They gotta quit on them

Nope, that's on them. We are all faced with decisions where we weight risks vs rewards. I get it. No idea how I'd handle it if faced with the decision.

The fact of the matter is the NFL is a short lived opportunity for most. Many won't make it, many who do will end up broke.

College Football isn't what it used to be. It will continue to change. At some point, I'll step away from it.

Guess I'll quit on the team as well, but that's my burden to carry.

With regards to this thread, embarrassing is the Mississippi State brawl. What a complete shit show, while the head coach is in the stands jerking off fans the players are fighting.

But yeah, be mad at Mullen and Florida. Smfh
