🏈 🔥 Hot Seat 2025 / Coaching Carousel:

Allow me to introduce you to Moscona...

He's a much less intelligent, much less talented, and unfunny version of T-Bob Hebert. And if someone in his position was just hearing about turmoil with Moore and Michigan in the last 24 hours, he's also much less connected. Those "rumors" have been smoldering out there for about a month.

That said, I'd be surprised if Michigan doesn't move aggressively on DeBoer and at least try to get him. Penn State did the same. Why wouldn't they?

Do you think they get DeBoer?

I think you're correct. Even G-Mac has posted on ESPN.com his thoughts on whom Michigan should after (when DeBoer officially turns down Blue). And then here's another one.

History tells us it'll either be Fisch or Minter (or someone else with UM ties). Other than Rich Rodriguez, who was the last person they hired that didn't already have Michigan listed somewhere on their résumé?

Gotta be Jedd. Minter has show cause right?
They could still hire him and roll the dice

Hiring a head coach with a show-cause penalty is a complex process that involves several steps and considerations. Here are the key points to keep in mind:

Michigan? They'll try (as they should) and no, they won't get him.
I just read from Pete Thamel per DeBoer “nothing has indicated that he would be interested. I would expect some clarity on that fairly soon. Just because, you know, from the second this job opened, his name was the first to emerge”.

Amazing to me as you said that everybody wants DeBoer, but some within our fanbase

For a little while longer, but that's a road block that can be easily driven around. And if anyone would drive around it, it would be Michigan. If he was the guy I wanted to hire, I'd sure do it.
They really want Minter over Fisch is what I'm understanding so far. I believe they'll figure out a way to appeal it or work around that. I think Minter is the most likely candidate for the job too, UM ties, would like to coach there, and gettable.

As much as people are blowing the DeBoer smoke among others, I don't really see any of the big names jumping from their locations to take on Michigan's problems and the fallout that is about to hit them in recruiting and transfer portal
