🏈 🔥 Hot Seat 2025 / Coaching Carousel:

Just a reminder: If Wommack leave for whatever reason, please remember that we have Mo Lingust and Chuck Morrell as Co-DCs. One of them, likely Morrell will step in as DC. I can see Lingust getting the nod, but could go with Wommack. But anyway, the point is i wouldn't worry about on defense side on who steps up.

On offense, If Grubb goes, I can see Sheridan slides in as OC, or he can go with Grubb. Who would step up as OC? It has to be someone who can work with Russell and maximize his skillset. So I think they're going to be fire whenever they hire.

Lingust draws up some cunning stunts...

I really hope we don't go in this direction. There's are some great DC's out there right now that we could potentially go and get from another school. Like Shiel Wood from Texas Tech, he would be a fantastic hire for us.

At least there are two people on this page, of this thread, that have actually made some sense at this point. Some of the suggestions I see I feel are down right stupid.

IF we saw the worst case scenario we'd see someone hired from one of three systems: under Kane, under Kalen, or in that family tree (literally and figuratively.)

Anyone hearing that Wommack is in the running for the Arkansas coaching job?

They are very interested him him, and the interest is mutual. I don't believe he is their #1 as of now, but the more they get told "no", the closer that gets, IMO.
Just an idle thought with that first cuppa ... Arkansas athletic director Hunter Yurachek

The head of the selection committee is also at the head of a coaching search which involves coaches with whom he is a major part of the decision on what happens in their post season?
