🏈 🔥 Hot Seat 2025 / Coaching Carousel:

See what a really bad UAB team did to a ranked Memphis team last week? I'm not predicting an LSU win, they are the same team and all. But they will have some new wrinkles, Bama can probably trash many or most of the tendencies they had charted, and I can almost guarantee LSU will play with a little more fire under their asses. Still, Bama should handle business, especially at home. I just wish LSU had waited a couple of weeks is all...
The play calling should remain with Joe Sloan. At least, I'd assume so. I look at that through these lenses. If Kelly has been criticizing Sloan's play calls throughout the season, which he has, and it continued why would it change now? I am weighing that against Kelly and his propensity to shift blame (we saw it Saturday night on the sidelines.)

Here's my other "counter thought." They have moved Frank Wilson in the the temp HC slot. He's not someone that people are unfamiliar with. His foundation, as I know it, is "run da ball."
And LOL at James Franklin slithering his way into one of the already open spots, or soon to be open spots... because that's coming.
I always appreciated and liked Frank Beamer. That came with the realization he didn't have much in the charisma department. Yet, that worked with Va Tech in spite of the "couch burning reputation" their fan base carries.

I see Franklin and Beamer 'neck to neck' in their race for the most charisma which leads me to think that might be a good landing spot. (May not have been the best use of a cliche there...)

I saw this yesterday and dismissed it because it was LSU and Brando. We've all been down this road. This is a great example of the person Brando has become. His timeline provides a good laugh for a 'cuppa' on a Monday morning.

The fly in his ointment also starred with Alicia Silverstone circa 1995

They didnt list Grubb....Womack. .....

As much as others on here. .....

I really like Tim Banks, Tennessee's defensive coordinator. He deserves a shot, I just do not think it will be at LSU or FL. The defensive game plan he and his staff put together is very impressive.
You remember that Tennessee's total defense is literally at the bottom of the conference? Their scoring defense? Same place.

FWIW, Sloan was done when Kelly was done.

But it's not so much about them being a better team all of a sudden. To me, it's the likelihood of them being more engaged and a possibly more "dangerous" team. Bama should still handle business, but this does make things more difficult as far a prep, if nothing else.

I think the LSU players embrace the "us against the world" approach, and that there will be more LSU fans in our stadium than if Kelly was still coaching. We are lucky that it's at home. If it was in Baton Rouge under these circumstances, I think we lose. Still, they could fold like a paper tiger if we get out a couple of TDs.

I'm not a gambling man, but what has happened to the spread since yesterday morning?

Why wouldn't they reach out to CNS and offer him anything he wants? If they do not then they are dumber than I think. As AD that is the first call I make and I would ask him to name a price and terms and conditions that it would take.

Before anyone gets bent out of shape not implying he would take it.
Saban IS NOT returning to coaching. He’s making more money and living a better life outside of coaching.

54 million is a pretty good chunk of change on the buyout.
In the words of Henry Hill ( Goodfellas) "Fuck you pay me!"
