šŸˆ šŸ”„ Hot Seat 2025 / Coaching Carousel: OL Coach Kap and Alabama part ways

I used to watch every press conference and interview of Saban's. I can probably count on one hand the number of DeBoer's I've watched from start to finish. Like nails on a chalkboard. I appreciate him taking the job because I bet most people didn't want it, especially with NIL eroding Bama's elite status. If I was a betting man, I'd put serious money he leaves after this season to a school with more reasonable expectations relative to the current rules. Our media and fan base will chew up and spit out probably another coach after him before the job appears attractive again.
The fans run off a good coach in DeBoer and you think this thing becomes ā€œattractiveā€? I’m afraid you’re wrong. Nobody will want to come here and do it and I wouldn’t blame them one bit. Have things gone as well as we would all like for them to go completely? No, but there has to be realistic expectations and I’m afraid to say, but there are some on this very site that have unrealistic expectations and they’re going to continue to be disappointed

Alabama isn't the only place.. Ryan Day and family received all sorts of threats and eventually won a natty..But some of CKD's regressions in play were just flat out unacceptable.. So if he can't take the heat, he might need to get out of the kitchen.. that's the way it's always been at Alabama. It isn't just now...
And some of the other blue bloods can just keep their problems "on the down low" better than us..

Do we have specifics about fans pressuring the coach besides message boards?

Well, the offense scored fewer points per game on average than in 2024 and the defense gave up more points per game on average in 2025. Probably a good place to start.

Offense
2024 - 33.8
2025 - 29.5

Defense
2024 - 17.4
2025 - 19.2
You consider that regression?!

Offense- didn't we get new OC?
Did we see so many drops by WR and TE?
Did we see many miscommunication on OL?

Defense what if you took out sec championship and playoff...the number is lower.

I don't see defense regressing at all. They actually took a step this year compared to last year. Offense regressed because it was Grubb first year and we had whole mess.

Well it ain't a progression, so what else do you call it? You asked and I gave you an answer based on factual data. Sorry it isn't the picture you and others want to portray.

The stats show your opinion is flawed. He brought in Grubb to better the offensive numbers and that did not happen. I can do an SEC only opponent comparable if that makes anyone feel better.
