Maybe I missed the whole destination thing but I was wondering how did Braxton Key get immediate eligibility with the Wahoos? I don't remember him playing in the second half against the barners, though he may have. But if you're going to transfer I would have to say Braxton transferred wisely.

Alabama transfer Braxton Key has been granted a waiver that will give him immediate eligibility for the Virginia Cavaliers this season.
Key transferred away from the Crimson Tide after the 2017-18 basketball season, citing a desire for a change of scenery. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

I knew this, but your post gives the chance to actually spell it out.

If you've watched UVA's games in the tournament Key has seen very little playing time.

I thought the starting time and day for the football is ridiculous, but dayum, 8:30ish, on a Monday night, yeah I'm gonna stay up and watch 2 teams I care nothing about play until past midnight so I can get up at 4am feeling like shit to go to work... I turned in at 21 to 21 in the first half.

I went to bed in the est zone just before halftime. This ole man cannot stay up past 2200 and then get up early the next morning and go to work the next day. This is the first time in 40+ years I have not watched the entire NC game.

Played a lot of ball last night too. I don't think the Cavs win it without Key's rebounds and timely passes and scoring that kept the offense moving, especially inside.

Key finished with 6 points 10 HUGE rebounds and 1 timely block to go along with 3-4 assists. He played within himself and played his role. I think it was just too much on his plate here and he couldn't handle it.

Key is a role player he is passive on offense. He had a dunk early a run out dunk late and two FT's. He can't create on offense. He is one their better rebounders. Congrats to him and the Cavs.

Saw what I thought was some attitude problems when he was taken out in the first half of Saturday's game. How he's feeling seems to be written on his mug pretty quickly. Not seeing him in the second half of that game was interesting. I guess I was following him a little closer last night to see if he was as emotional and he's a Bama boy. He was talking and looking around a lot to the bench and teammates but the discontent wasn't obvious. But he was playing well and when they took him out here came Texas Tech and back he came.

He might be one of those hard to coach guys that has to constantly be shown who's running things and some people it just takes a different language. If so, AJ striking out is not that astonishing.

Knowing your role. To me, he's still the same guy as he was when he was in Tuscaloosa; a good rebounder and defender.

I think when he was here though, he felt like he had to score 20+ a night. He then took some crazy shots, untimely turnovers that resulted in a decrease in his minutes from year one to year two.

I would have put that as "he thought he should score 20+ per night."

When I consider how he entertained thoughts of trying to play professionally and what we're talking about here it's a logical assumption he didn't know who he was as a player. He didn't understand he's a role player. From what I understand, a lot of that came from outside advice.
