That locks us in...

even my Texas buddies wanted to see a Texas/Bama game. Of course they still think they should be #1 :D

I would love to actually beat Texas, being 0-7-1 against them sucks.

maybe next time.

Bama/Texas would have been cool. Utah? I hope we beat the crap out of em. Then I can say  WHATEVER! SEC is ours next year!

I saw we could beat 2 of the top 3 in that list today. Jest' a little more depth/maturity and we would beat 3 of 3.

Hey.....I'm proud of our guys and glad we're playing in a BCS bowl. I think this is just the begining of BAMA's BCS bowl trips.

Looking at those rankings and bowls pairing, it is not such a far-fetch notion that we could eventually end up #2 in the final polls. . .

about 10-13 positions higher than I actually had expected before the season began.

RTR!

That's headed in the right direction. If BAMA ends up 13-1 they should have as good a record as the NC. So either way.....not bad at all for a coach in his 2nd year with one of the youngest teams.

36-0 was the gravy this year. Very nice season indeed.

Don't think we could have gotten Texas. Isn't there a Big 12 tie-in with the Fiesta? I think they get either the Big 12 champ or the highest ranked team after the Big 12 title game . . . which would be Texas.

Someone help me out here. Mack Brown is griping because UT beat OU and didn't get the Big Game. Using that as a yardstick, what about Texas Tech? Same record as OU and Texas and they beat the 'Horns. Mack would then say, "But we're ranked higher than Tech." Yes. And OU's ranked higher than Texas. Personally I don't care, but Mack's argument falls flat in the face of his loss to the Red Raiders.

The Fiesta Bowl is BCS vs BCS. There isn't a tie-in with the Big 12 much like there isn't a tie in with the SEC and the Sugar.

BUT, when it comes down to it the Fiesta Bowl officials, like the Sugar Bowl officials will w/ the SEC, are going to look to the Big 12 to pick their BCS team.
