I doubt Saban signs another kicker anytime soon.

How good is Corey Smith. I know we saw him briefly in in the Tulane game and he didn't look so hot missing a PAT and a 36 yard FG attempt. Not looking so good for the future. Maybe it was just jitters. At least I hope it was.

IMO, you don't know how good a kicker is until he gets into the games and kicks. They are not like other position players... they are a weird lot. They might nail 'em all in practice, then miss 'em all in the game. Smith did have a rough debut against Tulane, but hopefully he'll rebound from that. If not, Saban will go get another one... I just don't think he'll give him a scholarship upfront again.

I'm not sure how good Smith is in practice. I do know that Tiffin is very solid in practice, but I'm not sure about any of the other kickers specifically.
