Should we beat MSU, I would like to see Okl next.

Defensive ranking indicate they will be easier on our offense.

This is my gameplan -- pass against MSU and run against the next opponent.

They beat TCU, Baylor, and Okie State but all were playing without their first team QB. And TCU could have won if Patterson manages extra points correctly. I think Clemson beats them.

Their opponents defensive rankings should leave people asking about how good their offense has been.

Their opponents have allowed, on average, close to 450 yards per game. Their average rank, among the 120+ teams in D1, is in the 100's.
@TerryP , playing overtime with Tennessee... Think that's a commentary on the Vols improvement or a condemnation of the Sooners? Oklahoma should have lost that game, and their offense struggled mightily until late.

A bit of both. OU was breaking in a new staff while UT is still trying to learn how to finish. I don't know

In the SEC, is there another team that was closer to winning 10 this year than UT?

I thought about the Black Bears when I posted that, Chief. Ole Miss has nine wins versus UT's eight.

But, UT's conference losses (three) came at a combined 10 points. Ole Miss has one SEC loss of 28 ... 28 by itself.

A seven point OOC loss for UT versus OU comapared against an Ole Miss loss to OOC Memphis by 13.

I could be persuaded either way, I suppose. An Ole Miss loss comes at the expense of a fluke play at the end of the Arkansas game. Two UT losses come as a result of them, literally, giving the game away.

(This morning the thought of an SEC Semi-final type of game would be appealing this weekend ... Ole Miss versus UT. Might be a ball game there.)
