i heard just over 39,000 in attendance, is that right?

According to http://www.rolltide.com/sports/m-footbl/stats/2015-2016/01ua-wis.html, the attendance was 64279 which put it at 75% capacity. That seems about right to me, Wisconsin had some large sections of empty seats on the 3rd level between the 20's. The upper corners in the 4th deck were empty on both sides, Wisconsin's side was more empty.

The cameras did a good job, because it looked pretty full.

Should be a sellout next year, both team's fans know the history and if they don't, it will be talked about ad nauseum in the off-season. Also will be a matchup of two of the royalty of CFB history, instead of one royal and one respected program like this year. There should also be more local interest. I am planning on getting tix for next year, could have had them for this year but said, nah. Still wish we were only doing the neutral games every 3 years with a good home and home in between those.

I was guessing between 60-65 thousand. It looked like the Cowboys people did a good job of moving people into sections and limit the gaps that possibly would have been scattered throughout. BAMA definitely traveled well and those beer and cheeseheads were vocal for a time.

Largest 39,000 I've ever seen. I guessed between 60-65 thousand. Definitely more than what showed for the TCU/Ole Piss Peach Bowl.

Sounds like a good compromise for both sides to me! One neutral site opening day bowl every 3rd year with a good home and home in between.
