@MunchyOs, I've considered a few scenarios that would end up with Gus being shown another bus; specifically Trailways.

I can see a lot of Auburn fans wanting to see Hugh Freeze hired due to his "success" at Ole Miss--Bama in particular. Imagine if they fired Gus with their eyes set on ol' Hugh...

But, wait. It's well documented with Freeze that Tennessee has always been his dream job. Now, imagine if Fulmer hears Auburn is after Freeze and he's of the same mindset--look at his success against Bama. Considering how messed up their last coaching search was think of the fan reactions if Fulmer tossed Pruitt, hired Freeze, and left Auburn looking again.

Hugh might need to do a complete rebuild and start as an OC and 10RC might be a good fit but only if JP wanted to be part of that rebuild. I believe JP is going to be OK as a HC. What 10RC needs is talent. I thought they played hard against UGA on Saturday but just don't have elite players to win. I might be wrong but I believe the starters on offense has 6 seniors for UT. 2019 might not be so good for them.

As long as Fat Phil is around the Hilltop, Pruitt will need to grow eyes in the back of his head. I have a hard time believing that Pruitt will be given a truly fair shot there.

The AD placed the school at risk all because Guz defeated Bama and Kirby. Pay more in yearly salary but keep the buyout to no more than 3-4 million and that would be paid over a period of years. No way Guz would have declined such an offer. If so then he is more stupid than he even looks.

Gus has got to have a true dual threat at the QB position and have a bell cow at RB. Throw in a good OL and he can survive with only 1 of the other 2. Replace 4 of the 5 and Gus is hurting.

Cam Newton got Chiklit a raise and extension and got Gus the job when Chiklit was fired. That dude did more to raise the average income of The Ugliest TP Village on the Plains than any politician ever could.

JMO but Will Muschamp taking the barn DC position for just that one year saved Guz from being fired. They did make it to the Bham Bowl but Will's defense prevented many more losses that year plus he made almost 2 million in the process.
