TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ā Alabama held its third game-week practice inside of Hank Crisp Indoor Facility on Wednesday. Three days away from its opener against Florida State inside of Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, players worked out in shorts and shells during the practice.
Here are a few notes from what we saw from the final media viewing period of the week:
ā Defensive lineman Raekwon Davis (leg) was seen wearing a black jersey before practice but was absent during the media viewing period. The sophomore has not been present in any of the media viewing periods this week and is currently listed as āday-to-dayā heading into the opener. Davis was shot in the right leg while outside of a Tuscaloosa bar early Sunday morning.
ā Josh Jacobs (hamstring) was limited again during practice. He was wearing cleats but did not have gloves on. The sophomore worked with the rest of the running backs during individual drills but left with a trainer during team drills. Monday, Saban said a decision on Jacobsā status would be made in the middle of the week. Seeing as though Jacobs has been limited in all of Alabamaās practices this week, it looks doubtful heāll play against Florida State. Weāll have more later today when Saban speaks to the media.
ā Alabamaās offensive line remained the same with Jonah Williams, Ross Pierschbacher Bradley Bozeman, Lester Cotton and Matt Womack lining up from left to right. Jedrick Wills is still working with the second team at right tackle, while Alex Leatherwood is working at left tackle.
ā Quarterbacks Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa took turns throwing to receivers on back-corner drills near the end zone. Jerry Jeudy made a really nice play to get up and grab a ball during the drill.
