🏈 Exposure

with mark doing this morning show and then doing letterman tonight should help do wonders for the alabama program espically recruiting all that exposure on national TV and then the coverage we will get just by playing for the national championship. there is alot of great things going on at U of A right now its great to see bama back where they belong i just hope our players continue to handle everything the way they have . i do believe they will and i believe they will only improve. all these shows mark is going to be doing its really going to help get the alabama name out there more and more. i just believe all this attention properaly handled can greatly help the university of alabama. the down side is that mismanagement of all this can also adversly effect the school . my personal opinion is that all of this is going to be very good for the university

In some way, in some measure, the exposure shold help, but i'm not sure soley in recruiting.

Letterman was a hot show when I was in High School...back in the 80's. I'm on sure its the same with the 17 year old jock crown today. Where it might help is with Alumni, who contribute $ is numerous way, and who are in their 40s, and still may watch Letterman. But, this is still a help.

CBS News did a great piece on Mark and his Father, but again, the Katie Curic (sp?)/Network News group is likely not suiting up on Friday nights. But, it still helps.

Where/How is can help recruiting specifically is through the recruit's parents. Mark still has one, maybe two years left in Tuscaloosa. "Such a nice young man" being in a system that allows nice young men to excell is attractive to parents. Mark is classy, well spoken, thankful, driven, well-spoken...and a parent may see Mark as a partical produce of Nick Saban's program. THAT is something that is of value, and that is what is being sold on TV this week.

I'm curious to see the increase in enrollment for the fall...does it break a 10% jump?

I KNOW Dr. Witt is very excited about how this is playing out on both the athletic and academic side.

Mark was just on GMA! He had the Heisman with him. To be honest, the interview was quick and done!

Let's see what goes down on Letterman tonight...

One thing stood out. Mark was already repeating Saban's quote about the trophy and its relationship to the program.

That's a player you can look at, use the term "bought in," and have a hard time finding someone that fits the term better. I appreciate that level of confidence in instruction.

Indeed, Mark's certainly a hell of a player in so many ways.

See, that is what makes Dr. Witt so great...he GETS it. He and Coach Saban are on the same page and understand that athletics and academics are not mutually exclusive, rather, they are synergistic.

This may be shaping up to be another golden age in the history of the entire University of Alabama.
