Glen Schuman is a long shot. I think he's close to Kirby than he was with Saban. Not sure if he wants to be DC or what. I'm not ready to take on someone who is not proven coach.

He may be, but I am not sure who would be a better fit given D philosophy and background. Alabama grad, worked for Saban, and he's not calling the D at UGA.

He could get a huge payday and run his own D at his alma mater. He may be Kirby's bud, but he's only co-DC.

Golding already has 2 years at UTSA, I would imagine this would put the odds in his favor.
UTSA would be a step backwards for Chad Morris. SMU > Arkansas > UTSA doesn't compute. Deal from power, not weakness.
Apparently we hired Major Applewhite earlier this year, I missed this memo. UTSA would make sense for him. Texas / Houston ties.

So whats all this Golding is leaving for personal reasons rumors? Saban trying to keep Golding would align with seeing pictures of Golding out recruiting recently.

With that said the D has really digressed the last two years after Pruitt left so not sure what Saban sees in Golding based on the on field results.

Maybe he wants to give people time to grow and learn from him before he dumps them. That being said, it is hard to do so when everything goes backwards.
