šŸ€ Executives are inching closer to an agreement to expand the NCAA tournament to 76 teams with a 12-game ā€œopening roundā€ (26-27)

Its all about the SPREADING THE money AROUND and nothing else.
12 more teams means 12 more units paid out. If one of these win, two more units until they get their third losing by 30 to a top seed.

The math is a bit confusing. They have four play-ins now with four regions. 12 teams, six winners, six games, three winners? One region doesn't get a play in game? I don't know if this has been explained.

I can't think of a reason I would start watching the tourney until Thursday-Sunday's rounds to open.

@TerryP I never watch the play in games. I probably should since some of the scores and games are more competitive than the blow outs in the first round. Of course, I am always hoping for a number 1 or 2 seed to be upset.
When you are working for a living you realistically can't if you plan on taking TH, FR, and the weekend off to watch basketball. (One of the true benefits of being in the sports bar business for awhile.)

I've watched a few of the games. Davidson, with Curry, was one, wasn't it?
