McMurphy said he had more info that he wasn't releasing, what that is who knows...
The timing of this seems really convenient for him, his contract with ESPN expiring this month and he's going to be looking for a job as he said he's been using Twitter/Facebook to stay relevant so that it makes it easier for him to land a job in August 2018.
Not true. McMurphy has been laid off since April from ESPN. He also had a very restrictive non-compete clause .
The implication that there was anything convenient for him implies a lack of credibility for the story, which couldn't be further from the truth and is just a dumb thing to imply.
What's not true?? Not sure how anything I said makes the story any less credible. Explain please
My point, he was laid off in April 2017, had a 18 month no-compete clause, of which reporting via twitter/facebook doesn't violate. His no compete clause ends this month. And yes, it's very convenient the story releases weeks prior to his contract with ESPN expiring allowing him to work wherever. Maybe it was just perfect timing...
I think it's silly to believe he wasn't thinking about the timing of the article. It keeps him in the game at the right time...
Are you saying he kept an ace up his sleeve and decided to bust the news when he felt it could help his career? That's what I keep reading when you keep saying convenience and talk about his timing. Almost like you're saying he knew about it years ago and when he needs a story, bam, there it is.
