Friends in Clemson have told me this morning that Bowden has agreed to a new contract with Terry Don Phillips in excess of 2M a year.

Clemson is my second favorite team & I thought they should have let Bowden go & thrown 2 mil a year at Jim Grobe or Paul Johnson. Most of my Clemson buddies said Christmas would come early if Bowden defected to Arkansas. The only drawback to them would be breaking in new O & D schemes under a new staff when they return 20 starters & they don't want to lose anybody out of top 15 recruiting class they have committed.

I agree with Porter that Bowden is a better recruiter but Nutt is a better coach & motivator.
