I'm with rick on this one. Anyone who puts another team above BAMA is a communist!

I know some folks here are young, so no offense, but how do you not have ’61 Bama at #1? That team only gave up 25 points ALL YEAR! That’s just slightly above 2 points a game. I don’t care if your offense scores 70 every week, I’ll take the defense giving up 2 points per contest in any game.

After the '92 team I just randomly chose an Alabama team to rank behind them. :D

going by that stat you better not look at the UT team that didnt allow a single point the entire year

look at who received the most #1 votes. all the alabama teams and the '04 auburn team received the most number of #1 votes.

yeah, a lot of objectivity represented in that poll.

I was being objective. . . I was objectively picking my favorite teams from best to worst :D

True, it's probably not the most objective poll. But, seven of the teams listed are Alabama teams. Out of that seven, five were coached by Bear Bryant. So, while I agree a lot of the votes came from Alabama fans, even the fans who don't pull for Alabama would most likely pick a Bryant coached team as number one. Objectively speaking, of course.

The 2006 Gators lost to Auburn who didn't have that great of a team. The 2004 team would have definately beat them IMO.

A lot of teams slip up in one game. You can't base if one team of a year can beat another team from a different year by that. Just say you think 2004 Auburn were a better team than 2006 Florida, although I'm not sure about that either.

I agree with Tiger Fan on this one. Florida won the National Title last year without question, but I don't think they had an "All-Time" great kind of team. They struggled offensively in almost every game except the last one. They got really lucky that all the Big 11 teams were so overrated and that USC was rebuilding a bit last season.
