He should be eligible if he has not already had a redshirt season. Rule says you can not have participated in MORE THAN 20% of the scheduled games in the first half of the season. ANY participation in the second half constitutes a season of eligibility used. Bama has 31 games scheduled. Post season counts in games scheduled as far as the rule is concerned. Bama is assured of at least one SEC Tournament game so the schedule number to be used here is 32. Not that it matters in this case because 20% of 31 games is 6.2 games and 20% of 32 games is 6.4 games. In either case the number is rounded up to 7. 7 is not MORE THAN 20% of the games scheduled. 7 IS 20% of the games scheduled. 8 would be MORE THAN 20% of the games scheduled.
