I know a lot of Bama fans don't know who he is... maybe know the name, maybe not... but he's worked his ass off since he's been at UA... and was a very key holdover from the Shula days, though he's left and returned since then. Regardless, I'm not sure there was a better fit for Saban's right hand man than Ponder. He loved walking into the fire every day.

He was a behind the scenes guy that kept everything running smoothly. Basically worked his way up from a grad assistant equipment manager all the way to be Saban’s most trusted guy in the building.
