Alabama star Eddie Jackson suffers season-ending injury
Alabama star senior defensive back Eddie Jackson suffered a fractured leg during the Tide's win over Texas A&M on Saturday and will miss the rest of the season, coach Nick Saban announced after the game.
Jackson suffered the injury on a punt return early in the fourth quarter.
It's a huge loss for the Tide.
Jackson is one of the top defensive players in the country, one of the top punt returners in the country and entered the game widely projected to be an early-round pick in next year's NFL draft.
After Jackson got hurt, Ronnie Harrison shifted from strong safety to free safety. Hootie Jones stepped in at strong safety.
