Man this sucks!!!! I know a lot of folks don't like Corso, but he was hilarious to me. He is strictly entertainment to me. Herbstreit was always the voice of sense to me. For Holtz to replace Corso is sheer stupidity. I see that being a program that I will not watch much of anymore. Those guys have been a staple.

I view this like the break up of Franklin and Gottfried on Saturday nights. Those guys were synonomous with Saturday night football in the south. ESPN is really starting to piss me off.

Ditto I'll take Corso over Holtz any day. At least Corso is funny & I can understand what he is saying. I hope this info is wrong.

If this is indeed true, their ratings are going to drop lower than the Buffalo Sabres.

Not so sure about that. We college football addicts are a funny bunch. I need my Saturday morning ritual including "College Gameday" on ESPN!

Sure I loved the old cast, but I'd even watch if it was Obama, Hitler, and Gene Chizik talking about college football!

Ravich is ok. But, a combination of Holtz and Tubs? That would end up being commentary as dry as a nun's gusset.

What about Erin Andrews as a replacement?:hyper:

Is this a joke or something? Seriously. This is nuts!

First of all, if Game Day wants to make some positive changes, they can start by getting rid of that buffoon Desmond Howard. Look, Howard might be a nice guy and a great college player, but he's lousy as a t.v. personality. I guess it's not politically correct to get rid of the African-American personality though. :headscratch:

Secondly, regarding Corso and "the aging voice of reason"......you cannot be serious! Lou Holtz is aging, but hasn't had a logical thought pass through his golden dome in years. The guy is the worst, most outrageous HOMER on the ESPN network, and that's saying something!

I don't mind Ravich too much, but wonder why Fowler is getting the boot. It doesn't make any sense IMHO. I'm not crazy about Fowler, but one thing about Game Day that has been a constant is Fowler. To me, he's pretty much the face of the show, like him or dislike him.

Spot on w/ your take about Fowler, he was/is a staple of the show as anyone...I guess I'm a little sentimental about Fowler & Corso b/c they did some of their first coverage when they covered the '93 Sugar bowl where 'Bama won the NC. That game helped put Gameday on the map. Taking those two out is kinda like closing that book for that game. I know it is kinda sentimental but it is what it is...
