Oh cool, they were "just having fun." No harm no foul. I can't wait till I get together with my friends this weekend. I am going to take out at least 3 eyeballs. OH THE FUN OF IT ALL!!
If there was nothing wrong by it then why in the hell did the kid try to protect his eyes? No where at all is that part of the game. You should be the better man and not stoop to Spikes level but don't condone it Ealey. This type of play may have been common practice back in the dinosaur age but that was A LONG time ago.
What needs to be brought out is that it is not just about Ealey and Spikes. Its not about the fact that no blindness actually came to pass. In so many ways this has nothing to do with these two or this game.
What must be addressed is the message sent to all other players who might consider gouging eyes. What must also be addressed is the message sent about our insistance that players act with civility and play hard within the rules. What must also be addressed is that the game is bigger that Ealey and Spikes. And as it turned out, there were more victims than a Running Back from Athens.
Oh my freakin hero.:lance:. The thing that would make this even sweeter is if Vandy could pull it off and beat them.:halo:. Ok, yall can quit laughin now.
i gotta give him props for that, no matter how disgusting what he did was. he's bein the bigger man than his own coach by doing something that seems more fair to me than holding him out for a stupid half.
