I've been meaning to look and see who was the #1 team when "Ears" lost a game. I know Shula's: 'twas there.

Look at Kentucky record in 2007 in 3OT 43-37 LSU, 1964 Ole Miss 27-21, 1950 Oklahoma 13-7. Same as the Washington game it was after the final poll. But later on Kentucky was giving a No#1 ranking for beating Sooner 13-7.

And like '50 Kentucky, '60 Washington lost but one game. That being a one point (14-15) loss to 9-2 Navy. Minnesota was 8-2 with the other loss being a 9 point loss to 4-4-1 Purdue. '60 Minnesota was as overrated as '41 Minnesota.
