🏈 Dylan Moses to return for 2020

Holy :poop: ! Okay, a friend of a friend of a friend posted this on fb. Damn! Just look at page 1!

And then page 3...The summation makes Mr. Moses out to be the stereotypical ambulance chaser.

Many tribes are trying to be recognized, these things sit in the queue for decades. I'm sure lots of grease helps them slide through the cesspool sometimes referred to as Washington DC.

His dad is unique. I'd heard he was a bit out there, but didn't realize to what extreme until today.
Yes, no doubt. I really can't believe the letter is "real" but it doesn't seem to be shot down by any media source (not that that has ever meant anything).

It's an interesting situation:

1. His current policy would pay out the insurance to the loss of value from 1st round to whatever round he get's drafted in if he leave this year.
2. If he comes back, does the policy reflect the current evaluation for any value lost next year or is it lost value from prior to the injury? IE, if he comes back is the policy loss value reset to the 2nd round draft evaluation rather than the 1st round evaluation?
3. Is his dad just a complete nut job trying to make waves or is he a serious influence on Dylan?

This will be interesting to watch as the 1/20 deadline approaches... for sure.

Hope this works out but when you get insurance companies involved and they have to pay out $$$ that creates complications because they will not pay if the terms of the contract are not being met.

With Dylan retweeting with the hashtag maybe that is a good sign.

You'd think the insurance company would be eager for him to return for his SR year, cause if he doesn't they will be on the hook for a bunch of cash and if he does... there is a pretty good chance that he'll move up the draft board and release them of that burden... just saying ;)

That is kind of what I was getting at, if Dylan expected payment from loss of value for this year but if he came back the insurance company would likely not pay it. Like trying to have your cake and eat to. If he comes back healthy and moves back into the 1st round then I guess everyone is happy. I guess the insurance company could be saying ok come back because we are betting on you moving back into the first round. They have incentive and so does he.

If Dylan did not come back then he would go ahead and get payed 1st round money. A lot to walk away from but sounds like he is willing and wants to do it.

I see a number of issues.

1. If his draft stock declined putting him in the second round, and as a result he stays at Alabama, does he get paid by the insurance company?
2. If he gets paid by the insurance company, does that make him ineligible by the NCAA?
3. Does he have to enter the draft for the policy to become enforceable (i.e., do they pay only if he goes pro?)?

This is basically getting at what are the detailed terms of the contract? #1 could be negotiated I suppose if the Dylan said fine I went from 1st round money to 2nd round money. Pay me but it does not look like he is pursuing that path. Insurance company likely does not have much to lose by giving Dylan an other year to try and get is draft status back up.

Everything I have read says it is not projections that trigger payout but actual draft position. Therefore any payout would be only on going in the draft and getting drafted lower than expected. If you expect otherwise you should be talking to Aflac about Accident Insurance to help you pay those bills when you get hurt.

Disclaimer: I once worked for AFLAC.

1st Rd grade doesn't mean he's going first round. Heard X is about 90% on coming back. I think alot of these guys are listening to coach and being prudent instead of paying attention to mock drafts.

Just think if Jones had gone somewhere else? I think he would be in that school record book!
He'd have been under Stoops and the records he would have been attempting to match, or break, would likely come from the Mumme offenses. In other words, I don't see him breaking all time passing yards, etc., at UK.

I don't know who holds those records...I'm just assuming they are from their "Air Raid" era.
