Heck yeah! Roll Tide, Dylan. The recruit I wanted the most since I became an Alabama fan. Yeldon was my favorite player, Richardson #2, but dylan was my favorite recruit we went after, and a Top 5 favorite of mine.

Alabama inside linebacker Dylan Moses announced on Instagram Monday night that he will return for the 2020 season. The news comes after he missed the 2019 season with a knee injury suffered in preseason camp.

His return was cast in doubt by the high NFL Draft projections despite the knee injury.

“Football is not who I am, it’s what I do,” Moses said in the post. “Life after football is what I’m most concerned about, and I want to ensure I can put myself in the best possible position to succeed in life, fulfill my goals and make my dreams come true.”

As a sophomore in 2018, Moses led UA with 86 tackles, 10 for a loss and 3 1/2 sacks.

With his return, it is possible UA starts a completely different inside linebacker tandem without losing a player. Joshua McMillon — who also suffered a season-ending knee injury in preseason practice — received a medical hardship waiver to be eligible for 2020, but he has yet to decide if he will play.

UA’s 2019 starters, Shane Lee and Christian Harris, will be sophomores in 2020. Defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach Pete Golding discussed earlier this week the challenge of calling the defense with youth in the critical position of inside linebacker.
