‘Dukes of Hazzard’ star Tom Wopat faces indecent assault, drug charges
WALTHAM, Mass. — The actor who played Luke Duke in the 1980s television show “The Dukes of Hazzard” is facing indecent assault and battery and drug charges in Massachusetts.

The Middlesex district attorney’s office says 65-year-old Tom Wopat is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Waltham District Court.

Waltham police said they could not immediately release details on what led to the charges.

An attorney wasn’t listed for him.

Wopat was scheduled to appear in a production of “42nd Street” at the Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston, which is based in Waltham.

The performance’s opening night is Thursday.

He pleaded not guilty on Thursday to grabbing the buttocks of a female member of the cast of a musical he was supposed to appear in.

"During a rehearsal the defendant allegedly walked behind a female cast member, grabbing her buttocks," they said in an emailed statement.

Police said that during a search of him and his vehicle they found "two bags of white powder believed to be cocaine."

He told police that he buys cocaine "in large quantities and uses it over time," the court documents said.​

unfortunately it doesn't matter the purpose for which he bought it. he had two bags of cocaine in large quantities in his vehicle. they could easily get him for trafficking if they wanted to push it.
