I think so. He eas everything Alan Alda couldn't be.
"That old drunk, Wilbanks..." (A Time to Kill ), a frustrated and boring professor in Animal House, I think we could all go on. He was one of the best.
I always thought of him as one of those doppelgänger dad/sons in the movies. He and Kiefer, Kirk and Michael Douglas, Martin and Charlie Sheen...
Invasion of the Body Snatchers Kevin McCarthy was in the 1956 version , He was also in the 1978 telling Donald S. to run.
Don't Look Now. I saw this at Fort Dix in 1974 it cost me 50 cent to watch it and it got me away from training that day. I think this was the first time seeing him in a movie.
