šŸŒŽ DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) Reports of moving the USPS under the Dept. of Commerce

I could find fifty X accounts with this clip. I'm going to use this link so you can see this.

You've heard the term, "know your audience?" Let's take that and make it a little more personal. When you first meet someone you look at different things to "size them up." The ol' first impressions, ya know?

I've watched this video a few times. The first thing that stuck out to me was his facial expression; stoic. Then I saw the band-aid. Did you catch that? It's hard to miss.

Do you think, for a second, this type of behavior is going to sway someone that's wearing a "Autism Awareness" band-aid on his neck? Do you think it'll affect his behavior? Seriously. I'm looking at him, seeing that, and pretty well know that fella isn't easily shook.

(When I first noticed it I thought it was a Ronald McDonald House offer from one of their fund raisers. Then I look closer.)

It seems that most of these individuals only wanted to hear their voice! I don't believe any of them have a low speaking voice.

Ever wonder how Samantha Power, the head of USAID, took the job worth around $6 million dollars… When Trump fired her, She was worth $16 + million…Her salary was in the $160,000 per year ballpark..

Smoke. Fire. I see this is getting attention in this news cycle.

It reminded me.

Several years ago we redid a bar where we embedded strips of lights along the arm rests and then poured a poly coat over the entire bar (and light strips.) I'd have to look up what we used. I remember it took damn near 48 hours to cure.

The idea came from another bar. In that one they used the same coating. This time, it was over pennies they'd laid out. Now that I think about it, I believe I've seen images (or a video) of the same on a floor.

I know where a penny is in my house. I'd have to go look to find a second. Now, I'm wondering if I need to grab a bunch of them for some kind of project/craft.

I have a couple (crown black) handles full of Pennie’s. I’ve always put change away like that. I know whenever my nieces nephews friends kids where younger and they’d see the bottles full. If they could carry them they could have them…..
Probably $15 in pennies (maybe more)
And $200-$250 in ā€œsilver changeā€
And $700-$800 in $5 bills. (I dont spend them either I would give them away too) now I just cash them in every so often for my Biloxi trips.

Trump Orders Treasury to Halt Minting New Pennies to Cut Waste

Interesting bit from this article. True, it costs 3.69 cents to produce and distribute a penny, but all overhead in that cost may not go away if they stop making them, suggesting partial cost savings. Also, nickel production will have to increase, and they cost 13.78 cents to make.
A good point in the cost to produce the nickel.

A few points that were lost on me:

In the U.S., given how little pennies are used, the move would also likely have a negligible impact on the economy, though the government would probably save some money, he said.

IF this were true, how do we end up with pennies every time we pay cash for something?

Another casual thought on this...

Overdraft fees have changed the game. I suspect there are a lot fewer "rubber checks" passed today than there were a decade ago when we started seeing those offers so frequently.

I wonder how many people we could find whose bank accounts (as in their balance in their own 'accounting' system) aren't correct due to errors coming from .01, .02, .03, and so on? You have any idea?
r
As we lament the quality of education it seems like a move to .00 or the nearest nickel would make it easier for people to keep track of their finances. As mentioned, I do that with my checking rounding up with every purchase (then balancing.) That's my "extra money" you guys keep in old, used, germ riddled bottles.

I wonder how difficult it would be to re-fit the molds used for penny's so they could produce nickels. At some point would there be a break even point?

The idea of eliminating a department but doing so doesn't eliminate that departments overhead expenses...something isn't clicking here with me this morning. Personnel? Sure. Keeping the lights on in a room with no one inside? Uh, what?

The phasing out of change is the first step of ā€œdigital currencyā€ā€¦ Soon small bills will be phased out, because those cost more to make, too..OR They are too easy to counterfeit ..All change from purchases will soon be forwarded to your ā€œdigital accountsā€ā€¦ Welcome to the NWO folks..

According to the United States Department of Treasury, an estimated $70 million in counterfeit bills are in circulation at any given time, highlighting the relatively small amount of money lost annually due to small bill counterfeiting compared to the overall economy; however, the exact amount lost each year is not readily available and can vary depending on seizures and detection rates.

Funny that $70 million is considered a ā€œsmall amount by our Goobermint..

Might want to look around. We're already there. Isn't getting cash from an ATM a digital transaction?
