If Saban was hired, the recruiting class would be far from abysmal. If Saban isn't hired, it still isn't a huge deal (especially with the dead period approaching). Bottom line though, right now, getting a head coach is > than getting the players. There will be time to fill out the recruiting class.

News reported this evening that Mr. Miami himself ......Wayne... ask Saban straight out "if he was leaving" and Saban told him "no he was not going anywhere." Mr. H can scare the he$$ out of you. I have a friend who works for him. He's no BS. Sadly, I have to think Saban knows this too and wouldn't BS him. Of course Saban knows there's no sure thing in the NFL. Moody folks with lot's O' money you don't want to cross. Wayne would be fine with it if Saban said straight out....I need to look at my options, etc but he's not one Saban can play that Franphony game with.

Of all the names thrown out I think Nick Saban fits this Alabama program better than any. I liked what I saw when he was at LSU. Tough nose. Hard working. Good D minded coach. He showed Bob Stoops who his daddy was one night in January.

I think what Saban tells his boss is meaningless. I’ve never known anyone to tell their boss, yep, I’m looking for another job! These owners have close to ZERO loyalty to their coaches and will fire them at the drop of a hat. Why should a coach have any loyalty to an owner?

I know the first year I got allot of trash talk. Going 6-6 and paying him that kind of money. Now 12-2 last year and now 13-0 for right now. This is what I'm doing now.:hyper:Jumping for joy we got him.
