this is some crazy stuff.. maybe we just never noticed it before.. it sure does feel good knowing that bama is setting solid on a good foundation.. crystal football in one hand and top 5 recruiting class in another.. merry christmas crimson tide faithfuls, from coach saban...

Very interesting question. It makes me wonder what it looked like when we were digesting the whole Mike Price circus.

Although, the closest we came to the Rocky Top Riots was the Legend of the Brick through Curry's window...of Dubose and his affair...or hiring Shula instead of Croom...or Daddy Shula thinking bad thoughts about the University when we fired his Son and hired his Coach no matter what that Coach says.... Never mind.

This Tennessee stuff sure is funny. Roll Tide #1.

Better question involves replacing Price's name with fRan.

We aren't far removed from being in practically the same situation.

One would of had to have their head shoved up their butts not to notice the circus surrounding Alabama and its football program from about 2000 going forward. When the talking heads were talking about Alabama never being able to attract a great coach to the Capstone again and that Mike Shula was the best we should have expected, there was some valid reasons. On the other hand, that's why the hiring of Nick Saban and everything that has happened subsequently is nothing short of remarkable. The media is now the one's that are trying to "digest" what's happening at Alabama because what has happened is an Alabama football revival on a grand scale.

I know Mal Moore hasn't been perfect, and I know there are probably many that are as capable of running our athletic dept. I do give him credit on Saban though. He went down there and brought Saban back - period!

Saban might have come regardless, but we'll never know. He came back with Mal Moore.

When I shook his hand on the airplane before taking them to California I told him congratulations and thank you. I told him Alabama football made my life a little more joyful this year. We talked about how special the season had been. We talked of the trip to Pasadena and the Rose Bowl. We talked of how fitting the site of the game would be.

As we chatted for a few minutes he almost seemed to have tears in his eyes. The pride just radiated from within him. I know how much I love this university, and I dare say Coach Moore is right up there with me. I gained a new level of respect for him this year. I hope he can finally have peace now. He hasn't done everything 100% right, but his hand in our 13th national championship is etched in history forever. Congrats to him and all of us that share that same type pride. :a:

Eight rings Sandra. Eight.

That said, in my opinion his legacy was cemented with the hire of Anthony Grant.

Feels good to have some stability at the University. The unfortunate thing is that going through most of these hard times makes me more cautiously optimistic, rather than fully ecstatic.

i deffinately agree with this, but i will say that i appreciate the unbelievable effort that it takes to win a championship now.. in 92 it was very surreal.. this championship feels more like getting paid on friday.. it takes alot of dedication to watch and read about football this closely:lol:
