🏈 Does anyone know what ever happened to a tentative home and home with Notre Dame?

I don't know if anyone remembers this, but at one point in time, some years back, our future schedules once reflected a home and home series with Notre Dame. I know that the Penn State home and home we played in 2010 and 2011 had been pushed back several years from it's original time of 2004 and 2005. If I remember correctly, 2006 and 2007 actually once listed regular season games with Notre Dame. Now, this was around 2000-2001 when I first saw this and much changed with the scheduling after that. Anyway, since the Penn State series was moved and eventually played, I was curious if anyone knew if the Notre Dame series ever got moved or if it got cancelled altogether. Thanks!

I recall many conversations with hopes we'd schedule Notre Dame.

I don't recall ever doing so.

Yeah, I guess those were just tentative schedules I was looking at years ago. I think I even saw Nebraska as a tentative for 2008. I wish I still had those. It would be interesting to see how much they changed.

I would love to see some games with ND. January is gonna be just another chapter in these two teams' history. Hope to see some more great games in the future. I'm a Penn State fan too so the PSU-UA games were a treat as well.
