Do you tip on takeout food?

Just curious who gives a tip when ordering food for takeout

I Don’t. I think we as a society are obligated to try and put an end to these tip jars on take-out counters. Don’t think I’m cheap. I’m always very generous with my wait staff and delivery drivers, but I just don’t get the take-out, tip jar thing.

I always do if it is a place where the bartender has to get the order ready. It depends on other places. Regardless, they wouldn't get the same amount of a tip that dining in would get.

Same here, if it's a full service restaurant I tip. I also tip above the takeout added at Waffle House as well.

Yes, I do. I also tip the guy that personally stir fry's my dish at the local Chinese buffet. My wife has been in the food industry and I know how hard they work.

Really depends on where and what place it is. If we're talking Pizza Hut or something, then no.

To be more specific, and this isn't always the case, but normally if it is a place that has a full service like Baumhauer's or Chili's (and a waiter/waitress/bartender is having to take the time to pack up the order), I'll give a tip (especially if the order is correct and the service is pleasant). If it is a place like Jason's Deli or some BBQ joint where you aren't going to get waited on anyway even if you dined in, then no tip (normally).
