| FTBL Do you think we'll see teams from the Big 10 join the SEC as well?

Agree witha lot...
Big 10 probably will add some to build footprint....WVU...Texas school..Like TCU...( Dallas market) .maybe Iowa State....ok state...
AAU grab rest...or C-USA
Pac. 10 will grab a couple...Texas schools..Baylor...TTech...

Be4 major conferences...

Big 10 and Rutgers.... Rutgersjust added a few years ago... Big 10 wont get rid of them... hugh market

Huh!? FCS was not Division II. It was 1AA and has always been a part of Division 1. The only thing that changed was the designation. Went from being called 1AA to FCS. We had 1A and 1AA. Now we have FBS and FCS.
Ok....1AA....it was still the lessor division that had a playoff and not part of the bowl portion. That is why the small schools wanted in. They wanted bowl money and to be part of the big boy football and get the pay day from big schools for taking an ass whipping as a homecoming opponent.

One, what benefit does the B1G have by adding WVU, or TCU?

Two, this is not about TV markets any longer. Literally, there's no such thing as a TV market when you can stream a game in Georgia while living in California.

Three, WVU and TCU are not members of the AAU: a staple in membership of the B1G.

Four, TCU can't join the B1G because it doesn't border a state with a B1G school (another requirement in their bylaws.) WVU can, but they don't fit the academic requirements. This also applies to Oklahoma State: they don't border a B1G school.

IF any of this were to happen it would require the B1G changing their conference membership requirements. When has the B1G done anything with other conferences in mind (other than hoping all would follow their C-19 goals of canceling the season?)

FWIW, I believe the B1G HAS to make a move here by adding more brands. If they don't recruits will flock to the SEC in a greater degree than they are already: competition against the best in the nation.

Rutgers gets a payday. That's it. How many people in the NY metro area actually watch Rutgers sports? Has Rutgers won anything in the Big10?

one....benefit is texas....... regardless of brand/footprint....its a big state with a lot of fans...lots of HS quality players
Two...so...i don’t understand.......tcu/ok state and a big ten..play....anybody..
You expand your audience....you call it brands...and makes commercials more valuable...you know this..doesn’t matter who broadcast it... hell they added nebraska....and Rutgers..
Three...meant AAC...sorry
Four....big 10 can and will do ( we saw that in 2020) whatever it needs to make conference / teams more attractive...and what benefits the big 10...hard and fast rules are out the window...you know this...probably for any and everything
A conference that will add RUTGERS....will add anybody....
...
Agree...they HAVE to join the fracas....and expand brand or footprint ( whatever its called)...to increase theirvalue...in tv rights...and recruiting...
You dont think they would love to get their meats intoTexas for recruiting...

Rutgers adds nothing to any conference and it will only get worse

Rutgers sold 16,585 season tickets for the 2019 season, marking the lowest total since at least 2012, when Rutgers was accepted into the Big Ten. Rutgers entered the day ranked last in the Big Ten in announced home attendance, averaging 34,305 fans through its first three home games.

But yet...
They were invited and joined big 10... as shocked as i and many others...were
Of course SEC has Vandy...26431 for 2019
Is there much difference..

Actually comparing Rutgers and Vandy....
just butts in seats..2019...regardless of stadium size.... butts in seats
Rutgers brings more value than just football. They have an excellent rowing team, which to a lot of people up there is important. Vandy too brings value from a different standpoint than football, baseball and they have one of the top hospitals and medical learning facilities in the country
