I know some of you are very critical of Kirk Herbstreit (imo, unfairly so) but listen to the interview from Thursday on Finebaum. This is a very good take on the game. Is it Saturday yet?!?

I search of my posting history will reveal a strong dislike for Paul Finebaum. I do enjoy his interviews with Herbie and Coach Stallings though.

He is one of the few who...

A. Knows what he is talking about.

-AND-

B. He is objective and doesn't show a major bias to any particular team or conference.

There are many who do one of the other, but only a handful who can do both. Sadly, some, like Lou Holtz, can't do either.

He is on up there in my opinion. I don't know if he is the best but he is very good and has among the least amount of partiality in the major sporting press.'
