I'm please to hear that Deon Johnson committed on A-Day Saturday. With over a year remaining at this point before he has a chance to see playing time for the Tide (that's a lot of time to grow), a 6'1" 185lb Athlete with "blazing speed" as Andrew Bone described it could bring value all over the field.

That noted, has anyone seen numbers relating to how fast he is? What is "Blazing"?

I have seen him listed as "Athlete" and as "WR". Noting that he is the #31 rated WR in the country by one service (impressive indeed), has anyone heard that perhaps we may have him somewhere else? I would not have even had the thought but for that ever-confusing "Athlete" tag that someone chooses to pin on someone.

“I ran a 4.38 40 time at the Nike camp last summer,” Johnson said. “But, I have run faster times than that. I was timed this fall at 4.32.”

Thanks Planomateo.
Not sure how much all this matters. The numbers on the back of the jersey as large enough that the defender will still be able to read them as he sprints away from him. :icon_lol:
4.35/40 time, 6"1" with a shot at a playing weight of 200lbs -- that sounds nice.
