Deionte Thompson was granted a motion for continuance for his Oct. 8 trial date. The motion was agreed on due to the defense counsel being out of town. The case will be continued on "some future date."

I would agree, especially since he has graduated and will most likely declare. This is not something you really want hanging out there when NFL suitors come calling. Only thing I think might be in his favor, is that by extending this, that it will go away.
