Maybe it was the wine I was drinking, or the Christmas hangover I was experiencing. But did it seem like to anyone else that David Pollack went to the ghetto jar a bit too much in his commentating last night? "Bye Felicia", "What had happened wuz" and many other slang references that are normally used in casual conversations were brought to the booth by Pollack last night.

If Bama would have been playing I probably would have been so into the game I wouldn't have noticed. But since I didn't have a dog in the fight and was able to just casually watch the game it stuck out like a soar thumb. If you put him and Pam Ward in the booth together you would officially have the worse commentating team ever to grace a booth.

I'm not a Jesse Palmer fan but Pollack needs to take some lessons from him. Talk about things you actually have expertise in and try not to be an entertainer.

I think him and Palmer are a good duo. Who cares about his references, he's still a young guy talking about other young guys, so the really it fits. I like the fact he's a little more loose, willing to speak his mind, and continue to have a discussion rather than being stiff and boring. Palmer used to get on my nerves, but I always enjoyed Rece, Palmer, and Pollack. Palmer has stepped it up big time in recent years in my book.

I agree on Pam Ward but have to add Beth Mowins to that list. Those dudes are terrible.
