🏈 Da'Shawn Hand arrested for DUI...

Dumbass

so why is it breaking news that he was seen drinking before his arrest for dui?!

i mean, to be drinking is not illegal as long as you are of age. it's the "how much" that gets you into trouble if you decide to drive afterwards.

that's like saying "prior to the accident, they were seen driving in a car". well duh, it kinds goes without saying that you were driving a car when you got into an accident.

just more of the media trying to make something out of nothing.

it's certainly bad that he was arrested and stupid of him to do what he did; no question in that. but to call what they did "BREAKING"?....i just don't get it.

This morning a player's dad made a comment that he's one of a dozen or so you'd look at and think he'd never put himself in this situation. It's unfortunate, but pretty easy to script how it'll play out.

Saban will let him and his situation be handled by the Leadership Council. If asked, which I'm sure he will be, he'll say something along the lines of it being handled internally.

You'd have to be an idiot. Throw all the excuses out the window. With the opportunity that is ahead of him this year you'd literally have to be an idiot.

He was seen drinking, plastering it on his social media, then got busted for a DUI... how is that NOT news?

but him drinking should not be news. if he is of the legal drinking age, no matter if he posted it on his twitter, instagram, facebook, etc., then the actual act of him drinking should not be news. what happened afterward? i guess. but the anything before if there wasn't anything illegal going on.

if he hadn't been busted for a dui, would him drinking still be news? no. then why should it be news just because he got busted for a dui? i mean, it's rather obvious he was drinking, therefore he got a dui. but the way they put it, the bigger news was that he was seen drinking and he posted himself doing that on social media.

Yep, this is what I'm hearing in my friends circle. Will be handled due to having a good track record thus far. The guy is a smart guy academics wise, good record, Engineering major that came here because our program is taking off. Still can't get over how dumb of a decision it was.

Dumb decision in his part but I'm not going to crucify him. He has had his nose clean since he stepped foot on campus and is on track to get his degree in engineering.
At some point or another, I would imagine that 9/10 people on here have made a boneheaded decision. Some of us, more than once! I say us because I know I did. While at UA my junior year, I went to Harry's with a bunch of friends to celebrate my birthday. I drank for free all night! At closing, a buddy of mine and myself thought it would be OK to throw a football. Only problem was, we were in the middle of the road when TPD came cruising by. They asked who was driving , neither was and they told us to get our ass out of the road. My buddies were living at Mary Burke and they tried to get me to crash there. I lived at Stadium Apartments so I refused. To this day, I have no clue as to how I made it without running over anything or ANYONE!!
Saban will handle it and Hand will no doubt learn from it.
