šŸˆ Dan Wolken (USA Today) says Justin Field to transfer from UGA

My understanding of Field's recruitment is that it created a lot of momentum with other teammates coming aboard. In this dog eat dog business, maybe the timing and the fact he is threatening to lawyer up to get immediate playing time will also have a residual effect on recruits. Something like this can grow wings in a hurry and for kirby let's hope this goes over as well as 4th and 11.

@TUSKtimes,

"If he's done it once, there's a good chance he'll do it again." Or, "has done it before."

We're seeing Ford and Fields upset about how they were used in the Georgia offense this past season. Why? Based on what I've seen and heard it's a matter of promises during their recruitment. In Fields case, "we're going to ..." but in the end "they didn't."

will also have a residual effect on recruits.

It's not so much the residual effects I've thought about as much as it is the after-effects on the kids already on campus in Athens.

Lying to recruits gets around fast enough. Why Chaney didn't have more of a spread package and a purpose for Fields instead of just mop-up duty is something the Jawja fans have been wondering all season. I personally hope this goes over the rest of the team and especially recruits like a ton of bricks. But even in the longer run, it will be interesting how much discontent comes from 5* players taking their ball and going home.

@TUSKtimes, You're not the first who have started a question with "Why didn't Chaney..."

It needs to be rephrased, in my opinion, to this: "When did Chaney..."

When he was hired at UGA I mentioned—likely better phrased "beat to death"—that I hadn't seen Chaney do anything with an offense I thought was innovative, or worrisome. I'd put him a step above Ensminger. But, comparing those two is about like comparing the quality of hot dogs from two different gas stations.

In a funny twist of events, Dwan Mathis flipped to Georgia from Ohio State when word got out that Ohio State was a potential landing spot for Fields.

So, wouldn't it be funny if Fields stays?
It would be, but I also want Curbee to learn how to deal with some adversity. He is losing his first coach, and essentially his first real recruit.

The Fighting Kirby's have surpassed the Cowl College on my hate list and that my friends is hard to do. I have both the cow college and the Dawgs never win another game,set,match,meet, or inning.
