🏈 Dan Wolken (USA Today) says Justin Field to transfer from UGA

Or, he does what countless others have done and go to JC for a year, open up his recruiting, and goes to any school he wants. Right now Kirby can limit where the kid goes. Going to JC for a year means he can go anywhere.

@rick4bama it wasn't a coach that made the racist remark, it was a baseball player that has since been dismissed.

I don't see any way that Fields would win an appeal for immediate eligibility over the racist remark. Only way I see it possible, is they can prove a continued culture of racism exists.

is Fields really that good that they should be that concerned with him leaving? I haven't watched UGA all year other than against us, and he didn't impress me at all.

I would say he was and UGA should be concerned. You're only 1 play away from your starter going down and your backup is some kid that hasn't taken a snap since HS.
I would also add that the way he was misused against us didn't do him any favors either. There was no flow or reason to putting him in when they did simply to handoff for a play to then go back to Fromm. No series to get him into a flow. It screamed as only an attempt to say they played him as promised.

Heard a guy on the radio about a month ago that claimed he was in the Jawja loop, I thought he was full of :poop:, said Fields was going to tranfer if he didn't get to start next year and was going to transfer to either OU or USCw .... guess the guy knew his :poop: instead of being full of it. :)

This was supposedly why Haselwood decommitted. That came from my brother in law, a Georgia fan that follows things closely.

Imagine what he said after his execution of the 4th and 11 play. Did he catch hell over that one?

Someone said that twitter clip is from the USCe game. I have never seen it before today. Checked his stats in that game and he threw 1 paas for 8 yds and rushed 1 time for 3 yds

I can only imagine what he said after that 4th and 11 debacle, and then after Kirb basically threw him under the bus

I'm not trying to pile on with transfers, cause it can be extremely frustrating for everyone when kids show zero patience. And we've recently lost our share of 5 *quarterbacks. kirby, Is starting to have some serious elite recruit issues at the oddest of time. Luke Ford isn't getting much press because of this Fields thing but he is in the transfer portal as we speak. Everyone wanted this kid out of Illinois, including us if I remember correctly. The #1 tight end and #1 QB and #1 recruit in the nation is food for thought less than 24 hours from signing day. Bad day for the dawgs.

Wow, did not know about Luke Ford. I'm pretty sure he flipped to Georgia last second too. And yes, we wanted both. Fields played for Harrison, which is where my daughter cheered in the youth program. Excellent kid, became cocky after a killer Summer camp rotation, but I always viewed him as soft. Excellent kid once again, but I just never got the idea that he was truly a tough and elite kid. Fromm is tough. Sad to see a kid lose a year of his life with being frustrated by a decision, but that's life. We all have to deal with it and just hope everyone of these guys can make the right decision a second time and hopefully it all comes to them.

Yesterday, Smart said he was expected back after Christmas and is going to their bowl game with the team.

Illinois beat writers and saying this is another chance for Kirby to re-recruit him.

Dude may have the talent and just not be able to run the offense yet Kirby is like Saban.

Unlike CNS, Kirby seems determined to stay with the pro style offense. Fields is never going to be a pro style QB. Makes perfect sense to me for him to go somewhere that plays his style. IMO it was a mistake for him to go to UGA in the first place.

Maybe he wanted to go to UGA to become a pro style QB. The NFL isn't using too many option or running QBs these days. Maybe he thought his athleticism would make being a pro style QB easier.
