According to CFBStats, Damien has 542 yards on the season through nine games. With the the possibility of 15 games on this years slate that equates to Harris needing 458 yards to reach the 1000 yard mark...

For the third consecutive season.

It's yet another one of the Bama records we may see rewritten in the 2018 season.

In layman's terms, that means Damien needs a tad over 76 yards per game through the next six games to set the new mark. Personally, I'm hoping he gets the carries--he deserves his spot in the history books.

I agree he deserves the spot, but with Najee nursing that ankle I don't want to ride him too much over the next three games. Hopefully, his yards come in big gulps like it did last year. I'd like to see a good bit of Robinson against State and the Citadel and, heck, aubrun for that matter.

Tim

I would love to see us game plan to run the ball as much as possible over the next 2-3 weeks. I think it will shore up our offensive line even more & it will more than likely keep Tua out of the pocket with chances of injury. And as it was said earlier, I think Harris gets stronger as the game goes on, so keep the rotations strong with him, Jacobs, & Robinson. I'd like to have Najee fresh for AU too.

Anybody thats ever played will tell...you cant play effectively with not getting hurt on ur mine.... can reduce risk.... ...but if you are going to play...play....
Dont know where this obsession is that Tuas fragile....
Msu is always dangerous after a big game vs lsu....could be. A battle like last year..qb is throwing very well..big o line..very good D.... don’t mistake msu for the citadel

I kind of want us to use the Mississippi State game as a test to our players and see if we can run the ball on them all game long. If we make it to a chance to play Clemson later in the year, we will need to make sure we can handle a good defensive line and pound it down their throats while we also throw it over the top of them. This is a great opportunity to play a good defense and work on a specific look going into a potential playoff scenario against maybe a Michigan or Clemson.

I disagree with you guys here.

Their weakness is pass defense. I'm of the opinion continue with what they've been doing. I hope they get out to a strong, early lead and then let's let 'em rest. It's needed.

I actually think MSU has a better D than LSU and when "on" they have a better Offense than LSU.

For me, this is an interesting match up... and I think the team will approach it just like every other game. They're going to play a balanced offense and take what the Defense gives them. If they want to load the box and bring a safety down, you'll see more QB play down field. If they do a good job of mixing it up on Defensive coverage you'll see a lot more R/P/O action.

Really, it doesn't matter as I feel our running game is/could be as good as or passing game if needed...

What worries me the most is their offense and how Hot/Cold the QB has been. He's has looked really good vs some of the weaker teams they've played... and really poor in some of the harder games they have played. This most of the time leads me to think we will do well as I feel our D will force him into indecision or mistakes; however, I also get nervous when the other team has nothing to lose. I would expect them to try anything and everything they can to get an advantage... that what worries me the most (but in all honestly, it doesn't keep me up at night).

In the end, like all the other games this year I don't see MSU keeping us below 21 points and I don't see them able to score above 21 points.

My prediction is Bama 41- MSU 10. If the Defense can force a short field turnover or a NOT, then 48-10.

Need for #13 to bring the pain to Miss State DB's early and often in the 1st qtr. Can't allow State to gain any confidence that they can win this game. We can practice running ball vs The Del next week.

And he's second on the team in rushing. Najee has 572 yards, 4 TD.

Just imagine this, now it would take some pretty big games from all involved in the next few weeks but still...

3,000 yard, 40 TD passer (Tua)
2 1,000 yard rushers (Harris & Harris Incorporated)
2 1,000 yard receivers (Jeudy and whoever gets hot, Waddle already has 500+ and three others have 400+).

Plus, Jalen was on pace for 1,500 all-purpose yards before the injury.

40 passing TD's - at 27 now and 6 (max) games left 13 (2+ per game) love to see Tua hit 50
3000 yds should be easy... at 2361 only need 639 more (105+ per game) Seems Tua may well avg 200+ per game which would go to 3500+
Najee Harris 572 need 428 (71+ per game) with his ankle this would be most in jeopardy... may not play for a couple weeks then would need 100+ per game
Damien Harris 542 need 458 (76+ per game) love to see DH34 hit 3 1000+ in a row
Jerry Jeudy 880 need 120 (20 per game)
Jaylen Waddle 501 need 499 (83+ per game)
Henry Ruggs III 499 need 501 (83+ per game)
Irv Smith Jr. 448 need 552 (87 per game)
DeVonta Smith 409 need 591 (98+ per game)
