He will have one year of eligibility left. Basically down to us and Oregon. The guy has thrown for over 3,000 yards and run for nearly 800 yards.

And I guess Im the only one that doesn't get impressed by an FCS QB throwing for 3,000 yards, etc... Much rather just see where we can go with Barnett and use that scholly on someone that will more than likely contribute rather than waste a scholarship on a QB that will be there for one season and probably never actually play. Maybe Im completely wrong about the guy (and I have never seen anything other than a cpl highlights either).

Its a long shot but Im keeping my eye on Barry Sanders Jr. (yeah I know not a QB). Rumors about him transferring as a graduate student and I know OK State would be the most probable but I remember Saban going really hard after him and him being high on Bama.

I mean on the field, hes trash.

Sanders is at the very least equal to everyone else on the roster, other than Henry and Drake, right now and neither of them will be at Bama next year.

Just saw Prukop's comments about visiting Alabama. He seems like he is pretty much set on Oregon and just taking one last second visit.

Pretty sure Saban will be back by tomorrow which is when he is arriving on campus.

Kyle Allen can't transfer to another SEC school.

Blake is still a freshman, hes never taken a snap in college. Never anything wrong with keeping your options open especially when you dont have alot of experience at the position.

You always need insurance. How well has Bennett picked up the offense? What if he goes down?

You're the only one that can decide if your view is pessimistic.

Ya know, not having a lot of conversations about the back-up isn't a bad thing. He did come up in conversations during the CSU week and reports say he's improving and learning. That's all we want, right?

One thing I believe is important to keep in mind. A redshirt freshman, spending another year in the offense before taking over as a RS Jr., isn't a bad thing.

That pretty much covers my view. If they think he can contribute, it's a win.

We're a year away from seeing how the competition motivated Blake in 2014. Competition. Never a bad thing.
