DADDY'S GOING TO PASADENA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:elephant::hyper::a::panic:

We decided to open gifts tonight since my wife was off the rest of the week and my wife got my son and I tickets to the game!! Awesome seats about 20 rows up on the Alabama side near the end zone. Don't ask how much they cost, but I can tell you we're one child short, since we had to sell him into slavery for the tickets.;)

Anyway, had a nice Christmas. My wife also got me a "Rocky Block" painting #790 in the series and a nice T-Town News A-Day paper from '86 with signatures from Kerry Goode, Billy Ray, and Derrick Thomas, among others.

Brandon, looks like I'll be seeing you at the game afterall. :hyper:

Awesome! RTB.com tailgate at the Rose Bowl! :td::lol:

It would be easier on everyone if you just went to the game. ;)

Porter, the problem is, some folks.........Doemasters....just arent upper crust like the rest of us is all. Don't hold it against him.;)

Justin, we'll have to hook up by phone before hand so we can get it all figured out. I'm not sure if Porter has a plan in place for a tailgate or not, but we can all figure it out I guess. We've got some time before the game.

My original plan was to come over on a Charter bus from Vegas, but it now appears almost certain that we will be doing by rental car instead thanks to some logistical issues. Regardless, at some point before I walk into the Rose Bowl, I'm going to be chowing down on something outside the stadium. I just don't have a plan yet.

Well, just keep us filled in Porter. I know I can bring a boat-load of stuff to cook if y'all want to tailgate. It wouldn't be nothing for me to drive out there with a car full of beef and pork. I'm sure Justin could chip in as well.

Just FYI, if Justin does cook anything, we have to get him to make his famous (famous to me, anyway) baby backs. He made some for the UK game last season that would almost make your toes curl up they were so good.

Well, should I start missing Christian or Gabriel??? LOL! Well worth the price of admission I would say!! ;)

Keith, I am just a tad bit jealous I have to admit. I hope you have a great time buddy. So who is the lucky attendee going with you to the game? :a::a::a::a::a::a::a:

That might be the way to go. We can meet up, and I'll just fork over some money. We can talk about it more as the game gets closer.

Where are you planning on parking? I know last time out there I parked on the golf course, but I can't remember how I even got out there... I'm assuming it was public (paid) parking. I'm probably going to buy the parking pass offered on RollTide.com... it's 30 bucks, but is good for what I'm assuming is a guaranteed spot in a lot north of the stadium (I wonder if it is a "lot" on that golf course I parked on in 2000). That was a neat experience... folks literally tailgating all over a golf course. Pretty weird.

Pork and I both live close I'm up for whatever you guys want to do! ROLL DAM TIDE BABY! :elephant::a::a::a::a:

Porter, I was the last one to know. I know that shocks you.

Seriously, all my friends that work with my wife had been giving her the info on all things Rose Bowl. Like you mentioned, the golf course is one of the best places, if not the best, to park at. I'm hearing that it's a $30 fee though, which isn't a big deal. Unless we get a parking pass (my wife is looking into it now) that's where I assume I'll be parking.

I'm looking at Mapquest now and the gold course (I'm assuming) that we're talking about is Brookside, and that's basically connected to the Rose Bowl. Not sure how far parking would be, but I'm thinking several blocks at the most.

Greg, you know as well as I do that you can't get 10 feet away from Christian before serious questions and conspiracy theories start to fly. You know I had to take him to the game.

It'll be something that he'll always remember, and I'm glad Nancy got 2 tickets instead of just one. If he'd have been left home it would have killed him. I'm not joking either; he's wanting to paint-up and get the whole Tide box with the toilet paper thing going for the game. He's more pumped than I am about it.

You have raised that boy right. For a kid that has never really lived in the state of Alabama, he has some passion for the Crimson Tide. A good quality I would say!

Your Wife is Awsome!

Since you're now down a kid, - which I totally understand - is she looking to adopt?
Now available to a good home, Grown man, house broken, enjoys the finer things, like long walks (from the car to the stadium) and art (Studied in Daniel Moore's Crimson Era).

So what do you think...Dad?
