ARKANSAS: The 2 picks were killer. Pretty good balance on offense. Boyd changes things when in the backfield. They competed. Run defense disappointing with the way a few guys on the front 7 have been playing. No answer for screens.
TEXAS A&M: Could not get run going. Deficiencies showed up front on offense. Drops made it tough to find consistency moving the chains. Will need to get cleaned up with 3 REALLY good defenses left in the schedule. Still ahead of schedule in year 1 IMO.
GEORGIA: Committed to the run game & it payed off. Fromm benefited off play action & excelled on 3rd Down. 13th straight game Dawgs had more rush yards in a win. Defense took the ball away & got stops late. Sets up mammoth matchup in LEX with a trip to ATL on the line.
FLORIDA: Early mistakes & turnover were just brutal. Needed to be more efficient through the air. Defense made plays but was but in some bad spots, couldnāt get off the field on 3rd down & gave up 4 TDs on 3rd down. 10 wins still very much in play.
VANDERBILT: They are a different team when Vaughn is healthy. Ludwig wore the Hogs out with screens. Shurmur back to being his efficient self. Week off coming with 7 wins very possible.
TENNESSEE: Guarantano is the Jason Vorhees of CFB. Guy just keeps getting up & coming at you. Tough spot for OL losing Trey Smith. Thought Helton called a really nice game, protected that group. Flags were just brutal. Every false start felt like it was at the worst time possible
SOUTH CAROLINA: Finally got the run game going. McClendon stayed committed to it! Bentley made some huge plays late. Defense struggled a little with recognition. Trouble with screens. Tough team. They fight & give good effort. Nice win for bowl status. Had to have it IMO.
MISSOURI: Offense just miserable in the 2nd half. Came in averaging over 200 per game on the ground & just couldnāt get it going. Needed a stop late & couldnāt get it. Brutal call late. Brutal way to lose a game. Have to find motivation quickly with a trip to the swamp coming.
MISSISSIPPI STATE: Fitz was going to have to hit some throws. 14/22 for 241 & no picks from him will have them in any game. Added explosive plays with legs. Guidry added big plays outside. Credit that defensive front with a monster day. Moved the ball vs a really good front.
KENTUCKY: Great times find a way. Defense forces eight 3 & outs on eight possessions in the 2nd half! Allen dominant again! Terry Wilson was going to have to bring balance & he did. Gutsy call. Gutsy throw. Huge win. Lexington will be bonkers next week as cats play for the East.
